A lovely set of four crocheted coasters that would look great in any rustic kitchen or dining room.
This original design was inspired by the shapes of nature. The intricate details conjure up an image of spring daisies.
The coasters also look wonderful as a doily under a plant or a candle. They make an elegant decoration on any furniture.
Since the pattern I came up with is quite simple, but creates a very nice texture effect, I decided to write down the instructions and create a complete manual with a graphic chart and photos of individual steps.
The coasters would look great in any rustic kitchen or if you place them on wooden furniture. I love natural colors, so that’s what I usually pick to work with. In this case, the coasters are ivory (color may vary on the photos depending on the light).
It was necessary to pin the coasters to a foam board when they were done and apply spray fabric stiffener. You can of course use a regular liquid stiffener, but I prefer the spray because it’s faster and a lot less mess.
The pattern is begginer friendly, you will need crochet hook size 2 – 3/ B1. I highly recommend to get the spray fabric stiffener as well.
The material is 100% cotton yarn Artiste n. 8.
